At this time you might be unable Pound puppies waiting for a home to adopt a dog from the Stark County Pound, yet you have a strong desire to help a homeless puppy or dog find its forever home. Please consider sponsoring a puppy or dog for $34.00. Your sponsorship will be a gift of hope for a dog needing a helping hand and a loving home.

Friends of the Pound will use your donation to sponsor the dog of your choice or we can choose the one most in need of a boost - perhaps our longest resident, the senior with the graying face or the one with special needs.

Your sponsorship will help offset the fees associated with rescuing or adopting a dog from the Pound. Sponsors are our most loyal supporters who have a sense of pride in their efforts to help us place each homeless dog.

NOTE: While viewing the dogs online, it is best to note the cage number of the dog you're interested in sponsoring, call the Stark County Dog Warden's Office, and ask if the dog is still in need of sponsorship before you make a trip to the Pound.

SPONSORSHIP

Anyone may come down to the Pound and volunteer to sponsor a puppy or dog. For example:

• Students for a classroom project

• Teammates and Team Fans - For instance, McKinley Bulldog Teams and Fans could sponsor Bulldogs

• Take up an office collection and your company could sponsor one dog per month

• Girl and Boy Scout Troops seeking a community project

• Those seeking a gift of sponsorship, for a dog–loving family member or friend

NOTICE

While Sponsorship offers the puppies and dogs at the Pound the hope of a greater chance of adoption, it doesn't guarantee that the dog will not eventually be euthanized. If that happens, the sponsorship is moved to another homeless dog.

SPONSOR a DOG for $34.00

Covering Adoption Fee: $22.00
Covering Cost of Dog License: $12.00

For a total cost of $34.00, you can dramatically increase a deserving dog's chance for finding a home or being rescue. Sponsorship will decrease the dog's fee for the public to $50.00 and the Rescue fee will be reduced to $45.00.
