Jake's Happy Tail ♥ Jake at the Lake

Jake at the LakeHello!

It's me Vincent (cage 54). I now have a new name that the whole family voted on (I mean the whole extended family as far as GA (14 people total). I am now Jake Winslow (or just Jake).

I was transferred to the SPCA in Stratham, NH when I was 17 weeks (in Sept). Well let me tell you, it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. My new humans had been looking for me. The mom actually came to see me first on Friday. Then on Saturday as soon as the doors opened the dad and my 2 charges a five year old girl and a 31/2 year old boy came to meet me. Jake and MaxineThey all loved me! I then had to pass the test with "Maxine" (my 70 pound new sister). The humans were all for me but Max was the deciding factor and guess what! SHE LIKED ME! So we all got to go home together over Columbus Day weekend.

I am loving my new life! I have a very active household and everyone is teaching me Jake playingthings along the way. I still have a few accidents but nothing major. I am lucky because I have a lake house in the summer I get to go to and run around and be surrounded by more family. I am also still a giant lounge lizard! I love to cuddle on the sofa!

I am still growing and gaining weight and my humans keep saying "He is going to be Tall"! I love playing with Max. We have 5 or 6 major play sessions a day. Sometimes we are told to quite down because the little humans are sleeping. it is now time for me to go eat and well play! We all hope you have a Very Happy Holiday Season! I am very grateful to you!

Your pal,
Jake

Happy Jake and his Happy Family

Mom here, Jake is doing great! He is just what our family needed. Max has been very lonely for about 2 years because we had a dog that passed away at age 17. She was Max's best friend. The kids are great with him and Max is having a ball! They love to cuddle or chase depending on their mood. The vet says he is going to be about 60 to 70 pounds and is growing nicely. I hope that you all have a very Happy Holiday Season and hope stories like these keep you going. Thanks for sending Jake our way!
