Friends of the Pound

Open House Day at the Pound. Families wanting to adopt a pet and Friends of the Pound helping.Friends of the Pound is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to coordinate community outreach, marketing, rescuing and fund-raising efforts for the puppies and dogs being held in the Stark County Dog Pound. Friends of the Pound operates in cooperation with the Stark County Dog Warden's staff to significantly enhance the quality of life for the homeless puppies and dogs and to increase their opportunities for placement through adoptions or rescue groups. Friends of the Pound is extremely grateful for the continuous support and involvement of our community.

Cooling off at the Friends of the Pound Doggy Walk, it was a HOT day.The compassionate mission of Friends of the Pound is to work diligently toward seeing every homeless puppy and dog being held in the Stark County Pound, adopted into a loving forever home. We believe all dogs have the right to human affection, an indoor home, adequate medical care, and proper nutrition. We believe that through the groundwork of community education, volunteer service, and networking with rescue groups we are laying the path to our compassionate mission's goal.
